We teach our jewelry making techniques according to “levels.” A level focuses on a specific technique, and is not based on a time frame. This is because each student’s mastery of that level’s technique will differ depending on experience, facility, and pacing. Therefore, it is possible that a student may spend more than one class session learning the technique of one level.
Why do we structure it this way?
Because our instruction is founded on proper use and application of technique, not speed. In jewelry making, concept is simple; applying that concept takes time and practice. And, just as with any other art, learning the fundamentals properly is the only thing that will ensure easy acquisition of further technique.
Process is as important as the end result.
Furthermore, we have found that working on jewelry for longer than two hours at a time can result in stress and burn out; especially if you are not accustomed to it.
Check the class schedule for the exact class level, as the schedule changes from week to week.
